I hit ok, skipped the tutorial and jumped right into a race weekend. only by knowing the color scheme of the bike would I know that I picked a Yamaha. it was essentially a blurred, low res jagged mess. Now a montage of bike images popped up showcasing my choice. it was as if I smeared butter all over my screen, I couldn’t read a thing. I filled in the name and picked my number, font and color. Not one logo nor the racing number was legible. I was staring at a fuzzy image of a human. Finally the option screen to create a rider. followed by the title screen and a load bar. The Milestone logo appeared along side the sound of a high reving engine. a fully realized Motocross game on my beloved Switch. The time had arrived, for me this was amazing. I got the game as soon as my NYC GameStop opened and couldn’t wait to pop it in during lunch, however my Switch had zero battery so I threw it on the charger and forgot about it, knowing I had a 2 hour commute home to look forward to.

I pre-ordered the game, something I rarely do because of the lack of reviews that plague new games. I’m a huge MotoGP fan and couldn’t wait for a proper 2 wheeled game by the sole publisher of MotoGP games. So after first seeing MXGP3 on other consoles and soon after Milestone announced that it would be coming to The Switch, I was excited.
